School Information
The current William Byrd High School was completed in 1969, with renovations and additions in 1997, 2010, and again in 2024. William Byrd is the largest high school in the Roanoke County system with an average enrollment of 1,150 students and 125 staff members. Named after a prominent colonial statesman, writer and educator, William Byrd High School has a proud tradition of academic and athletic excellence.
