The 2026-27 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is expected to be available on October 1, 2025. It will incorporate updates for a simplified contributor invite process and real-time identity verification for users with a Social Security number. The 2026-27 FAFSA will ask for 2024 tax information.

G3 is a tuition assistance program for any Virginia resident who qualifies for in-state financial aid and whose family income falls below an identified threshold. G3 can be used for designated programs in five of Virginia’s most in-demand industries: Early Childhood Education, Healthcare, Information Technology, Public Safety, and Skilled Trades.
