All Grade Levels: 

Photo retakes are happening on Thursday, October 29th. If you would like to have your photo retaken, or you weren't present for the last picture day, please see Mrs. Body in room 265 to be placed on a list for a pass. Students who do not have a pass the day of will not be permitted to leave class when their grade level is called.

Clubs

• Come celebrate with the International Club on Tuesday, October 13th, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the cafeteria. Join us for an evening of delicious food, colorful art, a special choir performance, and dancing as we celebrate Hispanic culture and heritage. Bring your family and friends, and come enjoy the celebration. We hope to see you there!

• Attention Terrier students and staff: Sketches submissions are officially open! Each submission requires its own form. You can find forms with Mrs. Graybill or any of the art teachers. We hope to receive even more submissions this year, especially from staff members! As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Ms. Graybill. The last day to submit a piece is March 19, 2027.

College & Career Center

• Want to know more about the military? The Army and Marines will be here on October 13th and 15th during all lunches. Stop by their tables with all your questions.
• Are you interested in being an electrician after graduating high school? IBEW/JATC will be coming to speak on October 14th at 9:00 am. Please see Mrs. Boothe in the counseling office to sign up. 
• JMU and Longwood University will be visiting next week. JMU will be here on October 14th at 2:00 pm and Longwood University will be here on October 15th at 9:00 am. To sign up, please come to the counseling office or email Mrs. Boothe at nboothe@rcps.us.

• Attention 10^th and 11^th graders: The PSAT will be given on Saturday, October 17^th at William Byrd High School. The PSAT is a great way to practice for the SAT, which is used as a college entrance exam. The cost is $40, which needs to be given to the Bookkeeper in the front office in the form of cash or check by October 9th. Once students pay, they will need to see Ms. Lohr in the counseling office for registration. 

• ASVAB Testing will be on Thursday, October 29th at 8:30 am. Please sign up in the Counseling office if you would like to take the test.

Homecoming

• This message is from our Principals: Please sure all after school detentions are served before Homecoming if you plan to attend. After school detention is not available on Fridays so serve by Thursday, October 8th.
• Homecoming ticket sales are now on sale through Friday, October 9th during all lunches. Class dues must be paid, and overdue books from last year must be returned before you can buy a ticket. Students are allowed only one guest. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Farrington in the library.
• Homecoming Dance Guest Forms are due by the end of the day on Thursday, October 8, to Mrs. Farrington in the library.
